PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for recording sheet provided with superior printing characteristic, resistance to water, high glossiness and resistance to adherence of roll traces and carrying out the high grade printing of the photographic printing quality even in the high speed ink jet printing and suitable for the ink jet recording method, and also provide an ink jet recording sheet using the composition. SOLUTION: The resin composition for the ink jet sheet is provided with the resin composition constituting an image receiving layer formed at least on one face of a base of the ink jet recording sheet, and the resin composition is constituted of a cationic (metha)acrylic copolymer (A) of 70-100 wt.% formed by copolymerizing at least of a (metha)acrylic monomer containing a polyalkylene oxide, a hydrophilic group containing monomer, a crosslinking group containing monomer and a cationic monomer all together, a saponified material (B) of a vinyl acetate copolymer of 0-30 wt.% (The total of (A) and (B) is 100 wt.%.) and also a modifier (C) of 1-15 pts.wt. to the 100 pts.wt. of (A) and (B). |
