PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolyster resin optimal for obtaining thick injection moldings which are scarcely colored and have excellent transparency. SOLUTION: This copolyester resin for injection molding, characterized in that an ethylene terephthalate unit/ethylene isophthalate unit molar ratio is 90/10 to 85/15 and in that the content of cobalt atom in the copolyester resin is 10 to 30 ppm.
