PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper of an automobile having a fitting structure effective in reducing the cost. SOLUTION: In the bumper of the automobile having the fitting structure of fixing a bumper body 2 to an automobile body by overlapping and tightening upper and lower fitting flanges 3, 4 integrally protruded from the rear side of the bumper body 2 on a radiator upper support 11 and a radiator lower support 12 of the automobile body respectively, the lower fitting flange 4 comprises a tightening portion 5 having a flat fitting surface to be overlapped on a lower surface of the radiator lower support 12 and a rib 6 which is protruded from a lower surface of the tightening portion 5 and extended in the longitudinal direction. An inclined guide surface 6a for correcting the deformation is provided on a tip of the rib 6 in its extending direction (the assembling direction).
