PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for operating a DC/DC converters in parallel in a full electronic telephone exchange is provided to connect and/or disconnect DC/DC converters without having an effect on telephone conversation. CONSTITUTION: Six shelves, composing the whole of a rack in an exchange, are divided into two groups, three upside and three downside, with an air baffle in the center. The output terminals +5V and -5V of each DC-DC converter(21,31,41), installed in each shelf, are connected to the output terminals of the other DC-DC converters through power cables in parallel at the back panel according to identical polarity. Current share buses are connected through power cables in parallel at the back panels. Accordingly, the input/output lines of the DC-DC converters(21,31,41) has a parallel operation structure by the connections of the current share buses and lines L1 and L2.
