PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for converting a mobile communication frequency having a switching function are provided to generate a plurality of pseudo carriers using one pseudo carrier generator. CONSTITUTION: A call signal generator(502) generates a forward call signal. A call signal process unit(504) receives and transmits the forward call signal from the call signal generator(502) and extracts a pseudo carrier generation signal from the forward call signal. A pseudo carrier generator(506) generates one or more forward pseudo carrier signals on the basis of the forward call signal by time division. A power amplifier(508) amplifies the forward call signal from the call signal process unit(504) and the forward pseudo carrier signals from the pseudo carrier generator(506).
