PURPOSE: A tester for wear resistance is provided to accurately test various materials by smoothly and equally acting abrasion to the materials, thereby increasing the accuracy of a wear resistance test. CONSTITUTION: A tester(1) for wear resistance includes a power unit(10) applying rotary motion to one side of the upper surface of a base(2), a rectilineal motion apparatus(40) enabling rectilineal motion parallel with the upper surface of the base, a power conversion apparatus(30) formed between the rectilineal motion apparatus and the power unit for converting rotary motion into rectilineal reciprocating motion, a clamping apparatus(50) clamping a material to be tested, and a friction plate(3) at the lower end of the clamping apparatus.
