PURPOSE: Provided are a process and an apparatus for producing a film for a printing plate by producing one paper type image for printing information by each of printing papers and one image for picture printing information by each of the printing papers. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: producing at least one letter information and at least one picture information; grouping the letter information and the picture information to correspond to the printing paper; producing a first letter image and a first picture image correspondent to the letter information and the picture information; producing a second letter image and a second picture image having lower resolution than the first letter and picture image; producing letter-picture compounding image to correspond to the printing paper by compounding the second letter image and the second picture image; producing a first paper type image based on the letter-picture compounding image to correspond to the printing paper; producing a second paper type image having higher resolution than the first paper type image; printing the second paper type image to the film for the printing plate.
