PURPOSE: A tea composition containing chitosan is provided, which has a good effect on constipation and activates lactic acid bacteria. CONSTITUTION: A tea composition is prepared by the following steps: powdering to dryness cereals, such as rice, bean, barley, Job's tears, and vegetables without boiling; and adding a polymer chitosan to tea prepared by blending the dried powder in water. The tea composition is characterized by the following constituent: germination unpolished rice 76.2-89.8 wt.%, germination red bean 0.4-0.7 wt.%, germination wheat 0.03-0.42 wt.%, germination barley 1.0-8.0 wt.%, germination corn 0.5-5.0 wt.%, germination glutinous millet 0.2-2.4 wt.%, germination indian millet 0.2-2.4 wt.%, chitosan powder 0.1-5.0 wt.%, carrot 0.1-0.3 wt.%, oakmushroom 0.1-0.3 wt.%, pine needles 0.03-0.34 wt.%, kale 0.-0.5 wt.%, brown seaweed 0.2-2.4 wt.%, seaweed 0.02-0.24 wt.%, Angelicus uitilis 0.1-0.3 wt.%, potato 0.05-0.35 wt.%, buckwheat 0.1-1.0 wt.% as dried powders, and royal jelly 0.05-0.5 wt.%, lactic acid yeast 0.4-1.2 wt.%, and stevioside 0.02-0.08 wt.%. The tea composition can also comprise dried powders of germination black sesame, germination Job's tears, radish, old pumpkin, and rice bran.
