PURPOSE: An endoscope protector is provided to minimize infection caused due to secretion of the object person for endoscopy, while reducing abrasion of the endoscope. CONSTITUTION: An endoscope protector is made up of a material with high transparency and elasticity, such as a latex. The protector has an insertion section(1) which is rolled so as to be readily inserted into the endoscope, and a surface(3) coated with a lubricant for allowing the endoscope to be easily inserted into the human body. The protector has an inner surface(4) is arranged to tightly contact the outer surface of the endoscope and easily removed after use, and an end section(6) arranged to tightly contact an end of the scope so as to prevent the secretion of the object person from infiltrating into the endoscope. The end section of the protector is slightly bent inwardly so as to be prevented from being pushed deeply into the endoscope. The protector has a side hole(7) for a lateral type endoscope, and a band(8) for fixing the protector to the endoscope and protecting the endoscope from the secretion of the object person for endoscopy.
