PURPOSE: Provided is a method for preparing a bread using Houttuyniae Herba which has an antibacterial function, promotes diuresis and strengthens capillaries. This bread can be used as a substitute food for the old and the patients. CONSTITUTION: The leaves or stems of Houttuyniae Herba are put in a pot with lots of water and boiled at 100deg.C or more for 2hrs to get light brown extract of Houttuyniae Herba. Wheat flour or grain flour is kneaded with the Houttuyniae Herba extract in a proper ratio to make a dough. Salt, enzyme, yeast, sugar and pine needle flavor are added to the dough. The dough is heated at 100deg.C or more for 45mins to prepare a Houttuyniae Herba bread.
