PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents information transmission method that can properly reproduce (decode) encrypted contents information only under a regular limit and to provide a recording method, a transmitter, a recorder, a transmission medium and a recording medium. SOLUTION: The contents information transmission method transmits or records information that results in producing a 1st key including ID information set to obtain a authentication element value with a prescribed degeneration function and encrypted contents information resulting from encrypting contents information by using the 1st key generated by the information resulting in producing the 1st key and the specific authentication element value.
