摘要 PURPOSE: A visual docking guidance system and a method for airplanes are provided to accurately guide the airplane toward a dock by calculating the current distance and angel, etc of the airplane through comparing simulation results and a captured real image. CONSTITUTION: The visual docking guidance system comprises an image detector(10), an image processor(20) and a display. The image detector(10) performs the image processing of 3D video data of an entering airplane using a CCD camera to capture an outline of the airplane. The image processor(20) makes the video signals detected by the video detector(10) to a database and compares the data in the database with stored airplane data to extract optimum values. The display part(30) displays calculation results such as distance, lateral deflection angle processed in the video processor(20).
