PURPOSE: An opening device for a cassette door is provided to open the cassette door regardless of pushing direction of an eject knob. CONSTITUTION: In a closed state of a cassette door, a hanging protrusion(58) of an eject lever(57) is combined to a hanging groove(53) of the cassette door. By moving the eject knob to a left direction, a first knob protrusion(63) of the eject knob pushes a first lever protrusion(62) on the eject lever to left direction. Then, the eject lever is rotated to clockwise direction. Then, the hanging protrusion is withdrawn from the hanging groove for opening the cassette door. By moving the eject knob to right direction, a second knob protrusion(67) on a lower surface of the eject knob pushes a second lever protrusion(66) to right direction. Then, the eject lever is rotated to clockwise direction for separating the hanging protrusion from the hanging groove. Thus, the cassette door is opened.
