PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide annotation system and method capable of executing annotation preparation on an annotation device different from a viewing device. SOLUTION: By preparing an annotation away from a device where the annotation is viewed, an optimum viewing device and the annotation device optimum for the annotation preparation are made possible. To put it concretely, this annotation system enables a user to relate the annotation to one or more parts of an object. An object identifier is generated and one or more objects are identified. The object identifier is then sent to the annotation device. In the annotation device, the user relates the annotation to the position part of the object based on a text technique or a graphic technique. When the annotation is completed, the system synchronizes the annotation with the object based on the object identifier or a selection part.
