PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium in which reversible visible recording can be performed by the effect of an electric field and which makes a sharper display possible. SOLUTION: In the display medium in which reversible visible recording can be performed by the effect of an electric field, the display medium consists of at least a substrate, a common electrode formed on one surface of the substrate, and a display layer formed on the common electrode and consisting of a matrix material with discontinuous dispersion of a display material showing reversible changes in the optical characteristics by the effect of an electric field. The display layer has >=1×1012Ωsurface resistivity.
