PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a technique which is capable of printing photographic paper with a sufficient number of characters even in the case of the photographic paper of a small size, i.e., even when a printing size is small and is capable of printing the photographic paper with sufficiently visible large characters in the case of the photographic paper of a large size, i.e., when a printing size is large by changing the sizes of the characters in compliance with the sizes of the photographic paper. SOLUTION: The printing mechanism of the photographic processing device, which prints the photographic paper to be transported with the characters of dot matrix constitution, is provided with a dot interval changing means for changing the dot intervals in the transporting direction of the photographic paper.
