PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a back projection type screen by which the angle of visibility in a horizontal direction and a perpendicular direction is arbitrarily adjusted, which is bright and possesses the wide angle of visibility and whose quality is excellent. SOLUTION: In a screen used for a back projection type projection television, this back projection type screen is constituted by combining a both-side lens sheet in which a long sideway lens group in the horizontal direction to diffuse projected light in the perpendicular direction is juxtaposed and formed in the perpendicular direction on one face of the projection surface side of a light- transmissible base material and a linear Fresnel lens to condense the projected light in the horizontal direction is formed on the light-emitting surface side of an opposite surface and a lenticular lens sheet in which a cylindrical lens group vertically long in the perpendicular direction to diffuse the projected light in the horizontal direction is juxtaposed and formed in the horizontal direction on one face of the projection surface side from a projection tube side.
