An independent claim is also included for apparatus for carrying out the process, comprising: a tank with a lid; supply lines for introducing the culture, fuel and air into the tank; discharge lines for removing waste materials and excess biomass, fuel and air from the tank; and a heat exchanger for recovering heat from the culture. |
