PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the printing speed by carrying out an appropriate developing and transferring operation for every printing data and forming an image. SOLUTION: In the device, when color printing is specified and printing data are fed to a printer 1 from a host device 14a, color to be utilized for every page of the fed printing data is confirmed by a printing data analyzing part 10. A CPU 5 uses a printer engine 4 to form an image by only utilizing the colors used for every analyzed page, a monochrome page is printed at a speed for monochrome printing and a color page is printed at a speed for color printing. |
