摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which an afterimage is prevented and the seviace life and reliability of liquid crystal are improved and its driving method. SOLUTION: When a user does power-off operation, a signal non-input detecting circuit 60 detects an input signal turning off, and holds a decision signal POWC at 'L' and outputs it. A one-shot multivibrator 71 once receiving the decision signal POWC of 'L' outputs a pulse signal MG with specific pulse width to a shift register 12 and on output switching circuit 100. Consequently, the shift register 12 makes a gete line active for a specific period and the output switching circuit 100 connects a date line to a common potential Vcom for a specific period. Consequently, all the unit pixels of a display panel 50 become active all together and the common potential Vcom is supplied to pixel electrodes, so that electric charges accumulated in the liquid crystal can be discharged.
