PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To interrupt current to a starter before thermal degradation of an external parts such as an insulating member is generated when a motor of the starter becomes a continuous current carrying state due to defective of a key switch and to notify interruption of current to the motor by an alarm device. SOLUTION: Normally closed bimetal 20 is arranged by closely adhering the bimetal 20 to motor lead wire 1a, the bimetal 20, resistance 41 and an alarm lamp 40 are connected in parallel, the bimetal 20, the resistance 41 and the alarm lamp 40 connected in parallel are connected with an exciting coil of a starter relay 30. When the motor lead wire 1a exceeds a prescribed temperature, the bimetal 20 is opened, current to the motor 1 is interrupted and the alarm lamp 40 is turned on. When a key switch 60 is returned to an initial position, the alarm lamp 40 is turned off. When the temperature of the motor lead wire 1a becomes the prescribed temperature or below, the bimetal 20 is closed and an engine can be started.
