PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple cage mat for an embankment capable of efficiently conducting manufacturing operation. SOLUTION: The box-shaped cage mat 21 for the embankment mat has at least a pair of side-face frame bodies 22, 22, a pair of end-face frame bodies 23, 23, a pair of side face nets 2, 24, to which to side-face frame bodies 22 are disposed, a pair of end face nets 25, 25, to which the end frame bodies 23 are disposed, a base net 26 and a cover net 27. In the cage 21 for the embankment mat, the side-face frame bodies 22 and the end-face frame bodies 23 are composed of upper-frame steel bars 29, 37, having ring-shaped sections 28, 26 at both ends, lower-frame steel bars 32, 40, in which one ends have ring-shaped sections 30, 38 and the other ends have thread- cutting sections 31, 39, and a pair of side-frame steel bars 35a, 35b, which have thread cutting sections 33a, 33b at upper ends and are inserted into the ring-shaped sections 28, 36 of the upper-frame steel bars and having ring-shaped sections 34a, 34b at lower ends and into which the lower-frame steel bars 32, 40 are inserted, and nuts 42, 43, 41 are screwed to the thread cutting sections 31, 39, 33a, 33b of the lower-frame steel bars 32, 40 and the side-frame steel bars 35a, 35b respectively, and a frame body is fixed.
