METHOD OF CONTROLLING AUTOMATIC COOKING OF MICROWAVE OVEN

PURPOSE: An automatic cooking control method of a microwave oven is provided to select a cooking mode adaptively for the weight of popcorn by deciding the weight of popcorn depending on whether the sum of data detected from a sensor reaches set value. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer generates microwaves from a magnetron and rotates a turntable at specific velocity when a user puts popcorn in a cavity and selects a popcorn mode. The microcomputer adds plural data detected by a cooking sensor from plural measuring points and saves the data in a memory. The microcomputer decides if the data sum value is larger than 35. If so, the microcomputer increase number data(a) higher than the set value and saves the data in the memory. The microcomputer decides 6 rotation of the turntable. Then, the microcomputer decides if the number of the data sum values larger than 35 is larger than 2. If so, the microcomputer finishes the cooking mode by deciding the popcorn having small size. The microcomputer keeps the cooking mode having the large size of popcorn if the number is smaller than 2. Finally, the microcomputer finishes cooking the large size of popcorn when the turntable is rotated 10 times. Therefore, the microwave oven cooks the popcorn automatically depending on the small or large size of the popcorn.
