PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have no effect on the operation of a sub CPU even if failure occurs in a stepping motor drive having a main power source in a main CPU for motor control and the sub CPU used for purposes except motor control. SOLUTION: This stepping motor drive 11 involves the main CPU 3 used to control a motor 2 and one or more sub CPUs 4 used for purposes except those therefor, controls with the main CPU 3, and drives the motor 2. The main CPU 3 and the sub CPU 4 are electrically isolated by a signal coupling means 17 so that a signal system may be sendable/receivable, and the main CPU 3 operates by the main power source 6 and the sub CPU 4 operates by a sub source 16 separated from the main power source 6. |
