PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ratchet type one way clutch with improved engagement performance and improved endurance. SOLUTION: In a ratchet type one way clutch which is provided with a outer ring which has a pocket on inner periphery, a inner ring which is coaxially arranged with the outer ring and has a notch along a outer periphery, a claw which is secured in the pocket and engaged with the notch of the inner ring for transferring a torque between the inner ring and outer ring, and an elastic body which energizes the claw to the inner ring, a pressed surface of the notch have a given inclination against a line connecting a cross point of a surface composing the notch and a center of the inner ring.
