PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolution sensor which can detect not only the number of revolutions and rotational angle of an object to be detected, but also the direction of rotation of the object which has not been detected by the conventional revolution sensor when the object to be detected requires rotation control. SOLUTION: This revolution sensor is constituted by additionally installing H and L detecting sections which are different from a trigger detecting section on the object to be detected of a sensor provided with the object to be detected which moves synchronously to a moving body, the trigger detecting section at, at least, a part of the object, at least one sensor section near the object, and an output section which outputs the information obtained from the sensor section.
