PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical card which prevents cracks or chipping in the edge of a recess of the card substrate where an optical recording member is to be embedded and which is improved in the strength against external factors such as bending. SOLUTION: The optical card 15 comprises a card substrate 1 and a square optical recording member 2 embedded in the card substrate 1. The optical recording member 2 is embedded in a square recess 12 formed in the card substrate 1 while the surface of the member 2 is exposed to the outside. A groove 4 is formed in the border between the recess 12 of the card substrate 1 of the optical card 15 and the optical recording member 2, and the groove 4 is filled with a caulking adhesive 3. Thus, the card substrate 1 and the optical recording member 2 are adhered into one body with the caulking adhesive 3.
