HOLD-DOWN FASTENER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hold-down fastener capable of increasing flexural rigidity efficiently and preventing the deformation of the hold-down fastener and the rupture of a bolt member effectively even if excessive tensile force is applied to a vertical member. SOLUTION: This hold-down fastener 10 is attached to a side face of an end part of a column 13 to be joined with a groundsill 12 vertically and fixes the column 13 vertically by tightening an anchor bolt 14 protruding from the groundsill 12. The fastener 10 comprises a vertical plate part 16 arranged along the side face of the end part of the column 13, and a horizontal tightening part 17 extended horizontally from the vertical plate part 16 and formed with a tightening hole 15 for the anchor bolt 14. The horizontal tightening part 17 is arranged and adheres closely on a surface of the groundsill 12, and the tightening hole 15 is formed at a position where a distance from the center of the tightening hole 15 to a tip of the horizontal tightening part 17 becomes considerably long compared with a distance from the center of the tightening hole 15 to one end of the vertical plate part 16.
