PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a square-shaped gabion, in which the runoff preventive effect of fillers having a small diameter is improved, without reducing the meshes of rhombic wire netting itself and superposing other net members having small meshes and which has a simple structure and is also executed easily. SOLUTION: In the gabion 1A with a base net 6, a front net 7, a rear-face net 8, a side-face net 3 and a top-face net 4 composed of a rhombic wire netting, at least the front net 7 in each face net contains linear longitudinal-horizontal parting lines 16a, 16b passing through each engaging point 5a of row lines 5, and each mesh is divided finely into triangular small sections 17 by these parting lines 16a, 16b.
