The rope control device is mounted on a plate (16) and consists of a swing arm (22), which pivots around an axis (24) and carries two pulleys. The locking pulley (26), mounted at the primary end (28) of the arm, is designed to move the operating pulley (14), mounted in a tapered slot hole (40), in the base plate. The control pulley (30) is mounted at the other end (34) of the arm. The arm is driven by a spring (36) to move the locking pulley against the operating pulley, to lock it into its slot.
