PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming linear electrodes at the center of a band shaped transparent electrode. SOLUTION: The method of forming an electrode comprises steps of a (a) preparing a transparent substrate (10) having a thin film for a transparent electrode (12), (b) disposing a mask (14) having a plurality of slots (16) on the thin film for a transparent electrode, (c) loading a conductive material on the thin film for a transparent electrode to form a plurality of linear electrodes (22). Then in a step (d), with respect to each of the linear electrodes, a thin film part for transparent electrode (28) presents between each linear electrode and other linear electrode adjacent to the linear electrode and positioned between two positions (26, 26) apart from both linear electrodes by a predetermined distance (δ) is removed to form a transparent belt type electrode (24).
