PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium reading/writing device 6 especially capable of preventing a translucent mirror 3 from being affected by an external part and reducing its manufacturing cost. SOLUTION: The optical recording medium reading/writing device 6 is provided with a light source 1 emitting a scanning light beam 2, an photodetector 7 for detecting the scanning light beam 2 reflected by a recording medium 6, and the translucent mirror 3 which projects the scanning light beam 2 on the recording medium 6 and is arranged within an optical path directing the scanning light beam 2 reflected to the photodetector 7. The translucent mirror 3 is composed of flat parallel plates having a layered structure in which a partial reflecting layer 10 is arranged between two small carrier plates 11, 12.
