PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality of an image having a straight line edge along a line direction. SOLUTION: In a color display PDP, a discharge apace is partitioned at every column of the picture screen, and the discharge spaces in each column are continuous throughout the full length of the picture screen, and enlarged portions and narrowed portions become regularly narrower to be alternately arranged in rows with each other, and discharge cells are formed at the each enlarged portion of inside of the picture screen. A color arrangement structure is provided in which an emission color of the discharge cells belonging to each column is equal, and discharge cells 51 of the first emission color R and discharge cells 52 of the second light emission color G belong to one of the tow adjacent columns and only discharge cells 53 of the third light emission color B belong to the other.
