摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection method, for the absolute position of a motor shaft, in which the absolute rotational position of the motor shaft can be detected with high resolution by using only a magnetic induction-type sensor. SOLUTION: In the detection method for the absolute position of an N-pole AC servomotor, N/2 pieces of magnetic-pole origins which are generated per rotation of the motor are found by an automatic power-factor detection system, for magnetic-pole position detection, which is adopted for a motor drive control operation. A detection signal at a cycle n per rotation of the motor is obtained from the magnetic induction-type sensor which is attached to the motor shaft. In which place per rotation of the motor every signal waveform in an n-cycle portion appears in the detection signal is specified on the basis of N/2 pieces of the magnetic pole origins. Since it is not required to use a plurality of sensors in order to increase the resolution of the detection method, a high-resolution absolute sensor can be realized without increasing its costs and without increasing its dimensions.
