A cutter bar is pivotally supported on a frame U which is attached to tractor draft links via two support brackets S, a torsion tube T and two links B. Associated with the torsion bar is a cam C engageable with a bell crank L pivoted on the frame. The bell crank is connected to the cutter bar by a link A and is arranged to be out of contact with the cam C when the draft links are lowered, whereby the cutter bar has a floating contact with the ground, but to contact the cam C when this turns with the torsion bar T on raising the draft links and links B thus to restrain the cutter bar in a horizontal position. |
