PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding preventive device of a simple constitution in which low cost and high reliability can be achieved, in which stress from foreign matter can be detected at high sensitivity, and in which even holding immediate ly before an opening/closing member is completely closed can be detected. SOLUTION: In this holding preventive device, a first and a second tube bodies 8, 11 which are flexibly and elastically deformed are respectively installed on a window pane 3 and a window frame part 25, light is transmitted/received between light emitting elements 17, 18 and light receiving elements 19, 20 through inner space of the tube bodies 8, 11, and reduction of transmitted light quantity generated when the tube bodies 8, 11 are elastically deformed by stress from foreign matter is detected, so the foreign matter is detected. In the case where an opening width of a vehicle window 1 being a reference value or more is detected by an opening width detecting element 21, detection of foreign matter is conducted by use of the tube bodies 8, 11, and when it is less than the reference value, the second tube body 11 only is used for detecting foreign matter. |
