PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the image quality by maintaining the mixing ratio of a new toner and a recovery toner in a fixed range in a developing device SOLUTION: The MPU 40 of an intermittent driving device 27 converts the pixel counted value from a pixel counter 41 into the first toner consumption, the rotation time of a photoreceptor 1 and the natural complexion optical density from a natural complexion density detector 42 are converted into the second toner consumption, and the integrated value of toner consumption is calculated by adding the first and second toner consumption. The MPU 40 returns the recovery toner to a developing device 4 by driving a recovery toner transport device 24 for only a prescribed time, when it judges that the integrated value reaches the prescribed amount. |
