METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING STYLE SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate display format information in the case of combining and displaying structured documents related to a style sheet. SOLUTION: Display formats are previously prepared. A display format is determined on the basis of a prescribed condition or a user's selection. For instance, the prepared display formats are displayed like a list to receive selection from a user. The display style information of a combined document is generated on the basis of the selected display format and the combined document is displayed on the basis of the generated display style information. When 'original document style' is selected as a display format for instance, both of a combining source document and a document to be combined are displayed on the basis of the style sheet of the combining source document.
