PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom in forming of a relief oil passage of lubricating oil and in arranging of a relief valve for providing a lubricating device capable of improving the degree of freedom in layout of an exhaust device without restricting the shape of an oil pan. SOLUTION: An oil chamber 35 is formed on a side wall of a unit case 3, and a feed oil passage 36 feeding lubricating oil to the oil chamber 35 and the relief oil passage 41 opening to the oil chamber 35 for communicating with the relief valve 43 are provided in parallel with each other. The oil chamber 35 is circularly formed, an oil filter 34 is erected so as to cover it, the oil chamber 35 communicates with an inlet passage of the oil filter 34, and an oil passage 37 communicating from an outlet passage of the oil filter 34 to a main gallery 38 of the engine is formed so as to penetrate a center part of an area surrounded by the oil chamber 35. The relief valve 43 is arranged on an end part nearer to the oil filter 34 inside the oil pan 30 so as to face a bottom part of the oil pan 30.
