PURPOSE: A horizontal synchronous signal detecting device of a digital TV is provided to be capable of detecting a horizontal synchronous signal even though closed-ghost having a small sized hardware and a delay within a predetermined symbol on a channel exists. CONSTITUTION: At least one registers sequentially receive and store the correlation values of predetermined symbols within a constant segment of a channel, and are serially connected to each other. A maximum value detector(24) detects and outputs a maximum correlation value from the values stored in the registers. Data of digital signals input through an A/D converter(21) have instantaneously values but 0, and therefore converges to 0 by being continuously integrated through a segment integrator(22). A correlation part(23) receives signals in which horizontal synchronous segments and data segments are separated and correlates the signals.
