PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for transceiving a multimedia card using a telephone are provided to transmit a multimedia card such as text, audio, image/animation etc. by using a portable telephone and common telephone. CONSTITUTION: A web server(310) allows a user to connect to an apparatus by using a web browser. A phone server(320) enables the user to connect to the apparatus by using a portable telephone. The first card image database(340) stores high resolution of image data to be transmitted by the user. The second card image database(350) stores image data standardized to be displayed on the portable telephone. A sound database(360) stores audio message to be transmitted by the user. A text database(370) stores text message to be transmitted by the user.
