PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voice communication unit that can fully cancel acoustic echoes, even when a volume of a received sound is comparatively high and prevent deterioration in voice, denoting a sense of intermittent voice in advance, even when the volume of the received sound is comparatively low. SOLUTION: An echo suppression control circuit 10 gives an echo suppression control command to a transmission electronic volume 5, so as to comparatively increase an attenuation of a level of a transmission signal, when it is discriminated that the volume of a sound outputted from a loudspeaker 8 is comparatively high. On the other hand, it gives an echo suppression control command to the transmission electronic volume 5, so as to comparatively decrease the attenuation of the level of the transmission signal when it is discriminated that the volume of the sound outputted from the speaker 8 is comparatively low.
