PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a gradation skip caused by the secular change and environmental fluctuation of gradation characteristics in an image forming device and to form a smooth image by enabling a user to detect the gradation characteristics at the time of using the image forming device so that a gradation processing in accordance with the detected gradation characteristics may be performed. SOLUTION: By transferring some gradation reference patterns to transfer material and reading it by a scanner 420 in the image forming device, the gradation conversion characteristics of an image forming printer γ correction circuit 412 is detected by a scanner IPU, and a dither parameter formed in a gradation processing circuit 410 is formed so that the circuit 410 may output an image signal considering the gradation conversion characteristics of the circuit 412, whereby the image having no gradation skip is formed. |
