PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile equipment, capable of performing facsimile trans mission with a function to check the number of transmitted originals to elimi nate input operation of the number of originals, when transmission is performed. SOLUTION: An original image information file stored in a memory is read, transmitted to the other machine at a transmission destination set according to operation input, when the transmission destination is set according to the operation input after the number of read originals is displayed and on the other hand, no transmission of an original image information file is performed, when no transmission destination is set.
