PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking apparatus having a simple construction and capable of marking quickly and reliably. SOLUTION: This marking apparatus (1, 100) comprising a marking unit (2, 101) for marking at a position capable of correcting the unbalance of a body to be tested (s: a wheel with a tire) after the body to be tested is rotated, wherein the marking unit (2, 101) comprises a head part (23: a marking roller, 117) with a rotatable contact part (23a: a peripheral surface part, 116: a marking belt) which is brought into contact with the outer surface of the body to be tested to attach a pigment thereon, rotating means (255: a cylinder device for a rack 112: a driving motor) for rotating the contact part at least one turn, a pigment supply part (25: a stamp pad system, 117: a pigment supply device) for supplying a pigment to the outer surface of the contact part, and reciprocating means (22: an up-and-down cylinder device 102: a stamp cylinder device) for reciprocating the head part.
