SOLUTION: This device 102 for supporting a fuel assembly 104 in a nuclear reactor pressure vessel 106 is provided with a supporting plate 108 extending while intersecting a part of the pressure vessel, a plurality of a control rod driving system housings 110 disposed under the supporting plate and supporting the supporting plate, and a plurality of guiding pipes 114 at least partially supporting the fuel assembly. The supporting plate supports the weight of the fuel assembly and the guiding pipes. A bottom head is provided with a control rod driving system housing of a lattice array shape. The array is, for example, an N lattice array of about 12.2×12.2 inches square pitch. This device also includes a plurality of fuel supporting small plates 126, and a small plate restraining frame horizontally restraining the small plates, and the supporting plate, the small plate restraining frame, the fuel supporting small plates and a flow pipe 112 are changeable according to changes to a different lattice array shape.
