PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a spool valve causes irregular vibration when opening the spool valve element a water side opening or a hot water side opening from a closed state or when closing from an opening state, and the operation of a temperature control valve becomes unstable, in a water discharge instrument using the spool valve type temperature control valve. SOLUTION: This water discharge instrument has a water side opening 52 and a hot water side opening 54 opened on the sliding surfaces in a housing 41, letting water and hot water flow in the housing 41, and the temperature control valve 36 for changing the opening ratio of a water side opening 52 and a hot water side opening 54 with a water side valve 48 and a hot water side valve 50 to change the flowing amount of water and hot water. The water side valve 48 and the hot water side valve 50 form the outer circumferential shape at the closing ends of the water side opening 52 and the hot water side opening 54 in a first tapered part 53 and a second tapered part 55 continuing to the first tapered part 53.
