PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device indicating a switch to operate, which makes it easy to operate a switch of on-board equipment without looking away from the front. SOLUTION: Proximity sensors 30(1), 30(2),..., 30(N) are provided for switches 1, 2,..., N which output function signals for driving on-board equipment 60, 62 to detect a human body approaching a switch. Detecting the human body approaching the switches SW(1), SW(2),..., SW(N) using the proximity switches, the indicating device outputs sound information through a speaker 42 to indicate the function of the switch closest to the human body 42.
