PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin pipe for a steel pipe lining and a method of lining in the steel pipe excellent in outward appearance of a molded product and excellent in mechanical strength, hot internal pressure creep character, sanitation, and heating expansibility even without applying bridging treatment to be suited in use for supplying water and hot water. SOLUTION: This resin pipe for a steel pipe lining has an outer layer composed of silane bridged polyethylene resin bridging polyethylene with melt index (190 deg.C, 2.16 kg load) in JIS K 6992-2 of 0.1 to 5.0 g/10 min to have a density of 0.92 to 0.96 g/cm3 and gel fraction of 10 to 40% in JIS K 6769 and an inner layer having a thickness of 5 to 40% relating to the total thickness to be composed of polyethylene.
