PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic watermark embedding and reading in vector data and methods and devices which can always include vertex coordinates in a watermark processing area and embed and read a watermark in such vector data as to have a bias in a coordinate value, and a storage medium where an electronic watermark embedding and reading program in the vector data is stored. SOLUTION: Inputted vector data are divided into such watermark processing areas where the number of vertexes are the same or almost the same, and common electronic watermark information is embedded in each vertex coordinate included in the divided areas. Vector data where an inputted electronic watermark is embedded are also divided into such watermark processing areas where the number of vertexes are the same or almost the same, and one piece of common information is read from each vertex coordinate included in the divided processing areas per area.
